The Bulls Head Callington

Welcome to The Bulls Head Callington.

Based in the centre of Callington we are the hub for local community events and welcome customers old and new.

Recently refurbished to a high standard yet maintaining the character that befits the age of the building, The Bulls Head is traditional in every sense. We offer a fine selection Ales, lager, cider, wines and spirits. Our high cellar standards and attention to detail gained us an inclusion in the Good Beer Guide.

We also offer a comprehensive daily menu of locally sourced and freshly prepared food including traditional pub classics alongside our regular food nights including, Steak night, curry and a pint and burger night.

On a cold winters day or night, why not come and enjoy our hospitality and open fire, sample our food and drink and soak up the ambiance you would expect to find in a traditional family run pub. During the summer you can go alfresco in our beer garden or just come and mingle anytime that suits you.

We are rebuilding our web site to better reflect the high standards that we offer and it’s so very nearly complete, please join our mail list to keep updated when we post new content – you can join using the box on the right hand side of the site.

    Nice pub to be honest.
We stopped in here on the way back to Plymouth from Launceston.
The lady behind the bar was very welcoming, the fire was roaring and the ambience was nice. We were made to feel welcome by everyone and decided to stay for a bite to eat. Nothing seemed too much trouble even the vegetarian in our group enjoyed the steak night!
Thank you for making our stop of an enjoyable one – until next time.

You may be interested to know that a colleague and I stayed at The Bulls Head for a few weeks in the spring of 1964, while undertaking the survey of a new transmission line from Plymouth.
Vera was a splendid hostess, offering a very comfortable twin room, with electric blankets, DB&B and a packed lunch, for £5-5-0 per week.
One of the outstanding memories of my early working life.
